Ventura (Bennie) del Valle, age 81, of Payette, our loving and mentoring father, grandfather and friend passed away June 25th, 2022 in Payette, Idaho. He was born August 11th, 1940 in San Benito, Texas to Rosendo and Augustina del Valle. He was raised in Harlingen, Texas along with 14 siblings. After graduating from Harlingen High School in 1959, he immediately joined the US Marine Corps and served four years with the 1st Marine Reconnaissance Battalion at Camp Pendleton, CA. His service includes a deployment to the coast of Cuba, in 1962 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He moved to Nyssa, Oregon after receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1963. He met Marian Gail Talbot and they were married in September 1966. They were blessed with four children, Gregory, Deziderio, Dionicio, and Matthew. They were later divorced.
Bennie married Neva Beth White Haney on Feb. 9, 1981 in Boise, Idaho and they purchased a home in Payette, Idaho where they have since resided. He loved and cared for her for 36 years. Bennie worked as plant repairman for Central Produce in Payette from 1982 to 2012. Bennie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Bennie is survived by his children: Greg (Tiffany) del Valle of Plant City, FL, Dezi (Karen) del Valle of Payette, ID, Nick (Jessica) del Valle of Federal Way, WA, Matt (Trudi) del Valle of Boise, ID, & Bryant Johnson of Caldwell, ID . He is also survived by his sister Julia (Rudy) Longoria and family of Nyssa, OR along with his former spouse, Marian Strong of Weiser, ID. Ventura (Bennie) del Valle is also survived by the children of his late spouse: Dan (Wanda) Haney of Middleton, ID, Diane McFarland of Boise, ID, Debbie (Gary) Mathewson of Payson, UT, Darr (Kathy) Haney of Fruitland, ID.
Bennie is preceded in death by his spouse, mother and father, his beloved grandparents, and thirteen siblings.
